I was new to Portland I had some difficulty knowing who to hire for the painting
of my newly purchased downtown Portland condo. My good fortune was finding A
Fresh Coat Painting and meeting Kurt Deppisch. I soon discovered that Kurt and
Paul, the owners of this painting business are not only painters, they are
artists. Kurt is willing to follow directions and he is eager to please but when
he is given the option of coming up with creative ideas the results have been
amazing. After the completion of painting the entire condo interior, with accent
colors, Kurt has used a trowel to create a concrete faux stone finish over the
balcony floors and he has trimmed both with decorative tile. It has been an
affordable and attractive change and everyone who sees them, offers compliments
and asks for his business card. This is a business that is dedicated to customer
satisfaction. I am presently planning to redecorate another condo and we have
already discussed new creative painting options.

someone likes his job and when he doesn't. Paul and Kurt both appear
to really enjoy what they do, especially if you give them something
challenging or a little out of the ordinary. In our case we asked
for accent walls in two rooms, which involved a lot of intricate cut
lines between the colors, and the Venetian plaster application in
the salon. When the project was finished, it was clear that they
both looked at their efforts with pride - and we are just as happy
with the results. We would not hesitate to recommend A Fresh Coat to
anyone for any sort of painting job.

and Paul did the Venetian plastering of a long, cathedral-ceilinged
wall running from our dining area through the living room. They were
punctual, stuck to the budget they quoted us, and took great care
with protecting the rugs and furniture. I liked the way they offered

A Fresh Coat Painting LLC, LLC transformed my
house! From the biding process through the final walk through, Kurt and
the crew were responsive, professional, and performed high quality
work. I contracted with A Fresh Coat Painting LLC to paint every wall in my
house and they were on time and on budget. Additionally, their
technique was flawless! I was please to find ZERO defects with their
work. I have and will continue to recommend this company to my family
and friends.
| The job had two parts: (1)
repainting an accent wall (8 x 20 ft) in the master bedroom,
including portions extending into two closets, and (2) painting
over a corner stain on a high (24 foot) living room ceiling with
one paint and then applying a couple of coats of another color on
the wall approx. 15 feet below to cover the resurfacing of the
water-damaged area. After the new paint was applied in the
bedroom, there were traces of the original wall color on the floor
molding. This was due, as it turned out, to the sloppiness of the
original painters who had not taped the molding carefully four
years ago. Kurt sent one of his workers to redo the molding paint,
even though it wasn't his responsibility and, strictly speaking,
he didn't have to. I appreciate that he made it right and I am
very pleased with the improved appearance of the room.

My e-mail inquiring whether the company did small jobs like
mine was promptly answered by a phone call from Kurt Deppisch,
who came equally promptly to estimate the job. Then I really
lucked out! Kurt asked whether they could come the day before
Thanksgiving because they had time available for a job my
size. The whole process from initial inquiry to completion was
remarkably swift, another aspect of the job for which I am
grateful.

I am so happy with
the job Fresh Coat did painting our house exterior last summer. It
went from peeling old gray paint, to a lovely sage green with white
trim. My husband says its like we've "raised the house from the
dead". With the high quality materials Kurt and Paul insisted on,
and the care he and his team took every step of the way, we most
likely won't have to paint it again for many, many years. I highly
recommend these guys to anyone who has an old house that has some

A Fresh Coat was a wonderful company to
work with. I appreciated that the person estimating the job was also
the one who did the work. A Fresh Coat showed up when they said they
would, did a quality job, and cleaned up the site each day. They went
above and beyond the job agreed to, doing tasks such as unsticking
windows that had been painted shut for years, and cleaning up splatter
from another contractor’s messy sheet rock job. They used the highest
quality materials and took care to prepare the surfaces, thereby
ensuring the job will last. They are efficient too…the job doesn’t

I was impressed. The finish

(they were here right at 8 am). Those tall 20 foot walls were a bear, but
they did a wonderful job getting it done. They worked around my schedule
